introduction
Republic Day is a national festival of India which is celebrated every year on 26 January. On this day in 1950, the Constitution of India was implemented by removing the Government of India Act (Act) (1935). To become an independent republic and establish the rule of law in the country, the constitution was adopted by the Constituent Assembly of India on 26 November 1949 and came into force on 26 January 1950 with a democratic government system. That's why we all together celebrate Republic Day.Why was 26 January chosen as Republic Day?
What is the need to celebrate Republic Day?
We got independence on 15th August 1947, but there was still a lot to give to every person of India. Which we could get when our constitution came. Now the question is what was found that till today we need to remember that day. And this is evident from the preamble of our constitution. What is in the Preamble of the Constitution?
What is "people of India"?
In the internal sphere, although the Constitution of India provides for the distribution of powers between the Union and the States, there is no recess here for the principle of divided sovereignty, because although there is a provision to maintain the distribution of powers in ordinary times,
In this situation and in some more specific situations, the Constitution has given the power to the Union Government to exercise the powers of the states in the national interest. According to the Preamble, sovereignty is vested in the whole of the Indian people or in the Republic of India and not in any part thereof.
Sovereignty in external sovereignty or internal law is that the state is completely independent in relation to other states and there is no restriction on its foreign relations or internal relations.
What is socialism?
Socialism is such an ideology / principle / system that emphasizes on the establishment of an egalitarian society and state. The main goal of socialism is economic equality of the society. This system opposes capitalism and supports economic equality. According to this ideology, every person has the right to equality and no person will be subjected to economic discrimination. Karl Marx has considered the capitalist system / bourgeois ideology as the biggest cause of economic inequality. According to him, the capitalist class has always been exploiting the working class. That is why "socialism" was also kept in the preamble of our constitution so that economic discrimination should not be done against any person. What is secularism?
Secular state means that all religions are equal in the eyes of the state (India) and the state will not discriminate against any person on the basis of religion, creed and worship. It was during the national freedom struggle that communal communal animosity had spread in India. And the Partition of the country was its culmination. In order to keep the nascent democracy free from the deadly effects of communalism after independence, it has been considered necessary that religion or sect should be kept separate from the political. The state has given everyone the freedom to develop culture and pursue religious studies in their own way.India has the spirit of Sarva Dharma Sambhav, in this there is a "moral distance" of the government from all religions, but the state can interfere in the internal matters of religions if needed, such as triple talaq etc. But the state will not encourage any one particular religion.
Gandhi says that "religion should be at the foundation of politics. He talks about equality of all religions and says that politics should take morality from the scriptures of religions".
What is "Democratic Republic"?
A republic or republic (Latin: res publica) is a form of government in which a country is considered a "public matter", not a private institution or edifice of rulers. Primary positions of power within a republic are not inherited. It is a form of government under which the head of state is not the king.
The definition of republic refers specifically to a form of government in which individuals represent a civic body and exercise power in accordance with the rule of law under a constitution, and in which the separation of powers with an elected head of state Will happen. and which state refers to constitutional republic or representative democracy.
A republic is a country in which any person from among the general public can hold the highest office in the country's economic system. Such a republic is called a republic (Sanskrit; gana: complete public, tantra: system; system controlled by the public). It is different from "democracy" or "democracy".
Democracy is a system of government where in reality the rule is carried out by the will of the general public or its majority. Today most of the countries of the world are republics and at the same time they are also democratic. India itself is a democratic republic.
In this way, in the Constitution of India, rules have been given in every way to keep everyone together. And the credit for all this goes to the framers of the Constitution.
